Admission is free during the Public Shopping Times. On opening morning at 8:30am we have our special Early Entry Presale. Adults who donate $5 to charity can enter before the public. At 9:30 our events open to the public for free. We do not charge for children. Parking is free, however, with the popular nature of our sales, please be prepared to walk from the parking lot to our event.

General Policies:

Trying on Clothing

Due to space restrictions, we do not have fitting rooms available. We apologize, however, we do not allow anyone to try on clothing/shoes or remove anything from the hanger. We suggest measuring your child’s current clothes at home (inseam, length, waist etc).  Most shoppers then bring a tape measure to check for the correct size.

Facilities

Our events are held in fairgrounds, churches & warehouses. The majority of our merchandise is located in air-conditioned/heated buildings, however some locations have large items located in a outside covered area. We do have bathroom facilities at all of our locations. We are sorry, but due to space limits we do not have a special space reserved for breast feeding mothers.

Strollers

Strollers are now welcome during all of our Public Shopping Times!

~

Security

All 4 Kids takes pride in our events and we take security very seriously. Because we have security and/or officers at all of our events, we have not had any major issues. All large purses/diaper bags/backpacks/strollers will be tagged as you enter and may be subject to search. Switching tags is stealing, and it is a crime. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

*

Return Policy

All 4 Kids prides ourselves on high quality, gently used children’s items. We ask that each seller thoroughly check their items before bringing them in. Our volunteers also inspect the items upon arrival. Please thoroughly check all items, as there is a  No Return/No Exchange policy. However, If you purchase an electronic item that is $20 or more and it does not function correctly, it may be returned prior to 1pm on Sat. If you come across a stained/damaged item, please give the item to a volunteer to remove from the sales floor.

Children at Public Sale

We know that our little ones are the reason we are all here! Children are welcome during our Early Entry Sale & Public Shopping Times. We do ask that you please keep your children near you, as our events can be very crowded. We ask that all children are supervised, especially in the Toy Area. Toys are super exciting for children, but we don’t want any of our seller’s items to get broken.

Half-Off Saturday

Saturdays are awesome! At our events, on Saturday many items are half off! Just look for the tags that say “1/2 on Saturday? YES

q

Recalls

We strive at All 4 Kids to only offer the best items at all of our consignment sales events. Our policy is to not sell recalled or unsafe items. Because we are all parents, the safety and security of our customers is our number one priority. To view our Recalls policy & Information, please keep reading below.

More Info on Recalls

Because it is often difficult for parents to research which products are recalled or considered unsafe, we have included the below lists so our customers and consignors are better informed about the products they are selling and or buying.  We expect all of our consignors to use the below lists before consigning any of their items, insuring that none of the items they are offering for sale have been recalled or are unsafe.  Below you will find links to important children’s product safety websites.

As you may know, the government recently released updated lead testing standards for children’s items that go into effect on Feb. 10th.  A statement taken from the CPSC website is listed below.  You can read the full CPSC ruling as well as up date date recalls and safety warnings at http://www.cpsc.gov (Consumer Products Safety Commission).

In February 2009, new requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) take effect. Manufacturers, importers and retailers are expected to comply with the new Congressionally-mandated laws. Beginning February 10, 2009, children’s products cannot be sold if they contain more than 600 parts per million (ppm) total lead. Certain children’s products manufactured on or after February 10, 2009 cannot be sold if they contain more than 0.1% of certain specific phthalates or if they fail to meet new mandatory standards for toys. The new law requires that domestic manufacturers and importers certify that children’s products made after February 10 meet all the new safety standards and the lead ban. Sellers of used children’s products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards.

While CPSC expects every company to comply fully with the new laws resellers should pay special attention to certain product categories. Among these are recalled children’s products, particularly cribs and play yards; children’s products that may contain lead, such as children’s jewelry and painted wooden or metal toys; flimsily made toys that are easily breakable into small parts; toys that lack the required age warnings; and dolls and stuffed toys that have buttons, eyes, noses or other small parts that are not securely fastened and could present a choking hazard for young children..

Volunteer FAQ

Can anyone sign up as a volunteer and attend the volunteer preview sale?
Yes, anyone may sign up to volunteer on a first come/first serve basis however, the volunteer presale is reserved for individuals only.  Our policy is to not allow stores/daycares/preschools/individuals re-selling items etc to shop during the presales.
Do I have to consign in order to volunteer?
No!  Our volunteers shop first and they are not required to consign.
Can I volunteer for more than one shift?
Yes, many people volunteer for multiple shifts to enter the presale at an earlier time.
How long are the shifts?

Most are 4 1/2 hours.  We have Macho Men shifts that are 3 hrs and approved checker and cashier shifts that are shorter.

Can I sell in more than one sell?

Yes. In order to sell in more than 1 sale, you will need to register for 3 volunteer shifts at each sale. Then the system will allow you to add another sale for selling 🙂

Do you provide childcare for volunteers?
We apologize, but we do not offer childcare at this time.
I'm pregnant or have a medical condition?
If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you will want to volunteer for Friday afternoons when the workload is less.  We also have several “sitting down” security positions available on Fri and Sat mornings.   If you need these positions, please email us with your request after registering and we still try to accommodate.
Can I bring my children with me to volunteer?

Only children over 10 are allowed to accompany you while you volunteer, we just ask that they stay with their parent at all times 🙂

Do I need to bring food during my shift(s)?
We will provide light snacks and water during your shift.  If you are volunteering for two back to back shifts, please bring a meal from home.  We have a refrigerator for volunteer use.
Can I cancel my shift?
If a volunteer needs to cancel their shift, they may cancel up to 14 days prior their shift without penalty.  We ask each volunteer to find a backup worker in case of last minute emergencies.  If they cancel within 14 days of their shift without a replacement, they will be asked to volunteer for an extra penalty shift if they would like to attend the volunteer preview sale in the future.
What is the minimum age to volunteer?

For the shift to count as a presale credit, you need to be 18 years or older. Children 10 and older are allowed to accompany you to your shift, but it does not count as a shift credit until 18 years.
