Important Volunteer Reminders
Children at Preview Sale
Our special Preview Sales are for adults and their children 10 and older. This includes no infants even if they are in an infant carrier 🙂 Sorry, but there are no exceptions.
Volunteer Presale Passes Admit 1 Adult Each
Each Volunteer will receive 1 Volunteer presale pass for their effort. Each pass will admit 1 adult and your children 10 and older. If you want a spouse or friend to shop with you, they must also volunteer. We have many husbands who volunteer, and give their pass to their wives. Note: If you are also consigning your items, you will receive two passes to the later Consignor presale which you can pass along! (You can even take a picture of the extra passes and message friends. Each barcode will only scan once at the door. Just be sure to remind them of no children under 10 at the presales)
Bring A Tote! You will have tons of deals to carry! We ask that any rolling racks & double strollers be removed from the sales floor by 6pm for the busy Seller Preview sale. The upright wheeled laundry baskets are a volunteer favorite!
Once you register for your shift, you will receive a confirmation email. 2 weeks before your shift, you can log into your account and click “Print Pass” to obtain your Volunteer Pass. Passes admit 1 adult each along with your children 10 and older. If you want to shop with your spouse or friend, have them volunteer too. Volunteering is even more fun with your best friends!
Children on Preview Sale Night
Only children 10 and older are permitted at the Preview Sale, however, they must remain with their parents at all times. The no children under 10 policy includes no infants in front packs/back packs.
Bring your favorite laundry tote or beach cart – you will fill it up! Any rolling racks or double strollers need to be off the sales floor by 6pm for the busy Seller Preview sale. The upright wheeled laundry baskets are a Consignor Favorite!
We accept cash as payment. We also accept Debit ($1 fee) and Credit ($2) fee. We accept checks from Sellers at that specific event at the Preview Sale only.
For Families Only
The Preview Sale is for individuals shopping for their own family use. Our policy is to not allow stores/daycares/preschools to shop during the Preview Sale. We also do not allow business owners who are shopping to re-sell items to shop during the presale. We want to keep the very best deals for our wonderful volunteers and consignors!
To purchase a Large Item, please completely fill out the middle section of the “Large Item Tag” and remove the entire purple bottom portion at the perforation to take to the Cashier. Your item will be removed to the Large item holding area while you finish shopping. We do not have a holding area for large stacks of clothing and highly suggest bringing a rolling cart or laundry basket for all of your goodies.🙂
Trying on Clothing
Due to space restrictions, we do not have fitting rooms available. We apologize, however, we do not allow anyone to try on clothing/shoes or remove anything from the hanger. We suggest measuring your child’s current clothes at home (inseam, length, waist etc). Most shoppers then bring a tape measure to check for the correct size.
All 4 Kids takes pride in our events and we take security very seriously. Because we have security and/or officers at all of our events, we have not had any major issues. All large purses/diaper bags/backpacks/strollers will be tagged as you enter and may be subject to search. Switching tags is stealing, and it is a crime. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Please thoroughly check all items, as there is a No Return/No Exchange policy. An exception is made if you purchase an electronic item that is $20 or more that does not function correctly. It may be returned prior to 1pm on Sat.
We strive at All 4 Kids to only offer the best items at all of our consignment sales events. Our policy is to not sell recalled or unsafe items. Because we are all parents, the safety and security of our customers is our number one priority. To view our Recalls policy & Information, please keep reading below.
More Info on Recalls
Because it is often difficult for parents to research which products are recalled or considered unsafe, we have included the below lists so our customers and consignors are better informed about the products they are selling and or buying. We expect all of our consignors to use the below lists before consigning any of their items, insuring that none of the items they are offering for sale have been recalled or are unsafe. Below you will find links to important children’s product safety websites.
As you may know, the government recently released updated lead testing standards for children’s items that go into effect on Feb. 10th. A statement taken from the CPSC website is listed below. You can read the full CPSC ruling as well as up date date recalls and safety warnings at http://www.cpsc.gov (Consumer Products Safety Commission).
In February 2009, new requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) take effect. Manufacturers, importers and retailers are expected to comply with the new Congressionally-mandated laws. Beginning February 10, 2009, children’s products cannot be sold if they contain more than 600 parts per million (ppm) total lead. Certain children’s products manufactured on or after February 10, 2009 cannot be sold if they contain more than 0.1% of certain specific phthalates or if they fail to meet new mandatory standards for toys. The new law requires that domestic manufacturers and importers certify that children’s products made after February 10 meet all the new safety standards and the lead ban. Sellers of used children’s products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards.
While CPSC expects every company to comply fully with the new laws resellers should pay special attention to certain product categories. Among these are recalled children’s products, particularly cribs and play yards; children’s products that may contain lead, such as children’s jewelry and painted wooden or metal toys; flimsily made toys that are easily breakable into small parts; toys that lack the required age warnings; and dolls and stuffed toys that have buttons, eyes, noses or other small parts that are not securely fastened and could present a choking hazard for young children..

- If a volunteer needs to cancel their shift, they may cancel up to 14 days prior their shift without penalty. We ask each volunteer to please find a backup worker in case of last minute emergencies. If they cancel within 14 days of their shift without a replacement, they will be asked to volunteer for an extra penalty shift if they would like to attend the volunteer preview sale in the future.
Can anyone sign up as a volunteer and attend the volunteer preview sale?
Do I have to consign in order to volunteer?
Can I volunteer for more than one shift?
How long are the shifts?
Most are 4 1/2 hours. We have Macho Men shifts that are 3 hrs and approved checker and cashier shifts that are shorter.
Can I sell in more than one sell?
Yes. In order to sell in more than 1 sale, you will need to register for 3 volunteer shifts at each sale. Then the system will allow you to add another sale for selling 🙂
Do you provide childcare for volunteers?
I'm pregnant or have a medical condition?
If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you will want to volunteer for Friday afternoons when the workload is less. We also have several “sitting down” security positions available on Fri and Sat mornings. If you need these positions, please email us with your request after registering and we will try to accommodate.
Can I bring my children with me to volunteer?
Only children over 10 are allowed to accompany you while you volunteer, we just ask that they stay with their parent at all times 🙂
Do I need to bring food during my shift(s)?
Can I cancel my shift?
What is the minimum age to volunteer?
For the shift to count as a presale credit, you need to be 18 years or older. Children 10 and older are allowed to accompany you to your shift, but it does not count as a shift credit until 18 years.
